We use the PGA Coach program to structure our program. It consists of coaching, on course playing, competitive games and training programs. It is an instructional based program designed to teach junior golfers to play the game from a hole out perspective. Junior golfers can be beginners or more advanced. They will play at yardages that match their skills. I've attached a flyer to this email to explain the program in more detail.
The Roseville Golf Academy Junior Players Program uses the PGA Coach (ADM) Athletic Development Model framework to structure our program. It consists of Coaching, Playing, and Training programs. It is designed to teach golfers to play the game from a hole out perspective. Each golfer will be assessed and issued a playing yardage that is designed to set appropriate objectives and challenge each student towards shooting par or better (score of 36) for 9 holes. As golfers achieve their scoring goals they progress back in yardage.
Juniors will learn the game in a weekly group class where our coach will progress students through the PGA Coach curriculum. Juniors will be taught age appropriate instruction, rules as well as etiquette of golf, and have weekly skills competitions that promote fun learning.
The Junior Players Matches challenge golfers to shoot the score of 36 for 9 holes from 6 different yardage divisions on the course . When scoring goals are reached Juniors move back in yardage to track and see their progress.
The program has been very successful and fun with each class filling quickly due to the limited number of juniors that we can offer the program to at Diamond Oaks Golf Course. (8 per class)
